since the recent job change i’ve been home more. i’ll clean around the house, throw some laundry in while i cook, and put the tv on for background noise. as you’ve probably heard we are going on almost 6 months without cable and we now only have the big 4 channels (you know, the acronyms). the past couple of days i’ve tuned in for some episodes of The Chew.
from the amount of time i have seen of The Chew, i gather that it is a cooking show (but not really) that features 3 chefs, Clinton Kelly (the stylist) and Blondy Buzzkill (Daphne). they talk about food and have fun guests and play games.
according to their site
The Chew celebrates and explores life through food, with a group of dynamic, engaging, fun, relatable co-hosts who serve up everything to do with food — from cooking and home entertaining to food trends, restaurants, holidays and more — all aimed at making life better, fuller and more fun.
they have cool cooking spots like the one where chef michael symon makes a bacon, banana, and nutella sandwich. it was an ooey gooey midnight snack that each host then tried and agreed it was an awesome special treat. then Blondy Buzzkill asked if it was on whole wheat bread and promptly got heckled by the other hosts. then she goes on to mention the trifecta of sugar, fat, and salt being as addicting as a controlled substance.
who hired this girl?! not to mention whenever they hand everyone a sample bite she never eats. she sits there oddly and smiles and nods as everyone tears into their bit of warm deliciousness.
as a fellow fat girl daphne, i suggest you quit raining on everyones parade and start hitting the gym. yes your apple pie yogurt with crumble looks wonderful but it still makes me crave a slice of warm apple pie a la mode.
not only is she showing people that you shouldn’t have sweet treats, but she’s showing people you should just skip out on eating, even just a tiny bite. so really daphne please just act like a normal person because your attitude is dragging the show down.
